Please provide a brief summary of the career pathways (e.g. post-secondary studies and subsequent employment) you pursued after graduating from Bluewater.

I attended Nipissing University and obtained an undergraduate degree after graduating from West Hill Secondary School.  This was followed by teachers college at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia.  I returned to Ontario in 2008 and began teaching for Bluewater District School Board in January 2009.

After 8+ years of doing supply and long term occasional contracts, I obtained permanent status in the fall of 2017.

How has your education in Bluewater prepared you for your career pathway?

I had many exceptional teachers and leaders that have inspired me to enter the teaching profession. Volunteering has also helped in this regard, through coaching positions at West Hill/Owen Sound District Secondary School and Special Olympics for basketball.
