Subject:Students to the Rescue in Winter Storm

The winter weather is just another opportunity for Bluewater District School Board students to demonstrate acts of caring and responsibility for their fellow citizens.  Recently, three Grade 8 students were recognized by OPP Constables Janes and Hall for their efforts in helping out an elderly motorist during difficult winter driving conditions.  After stopping during a storm in Kincardine to check on the motorist's well-being, the students ran home to get shovels to remove snow so that the driver could continue on his way.  The constables visited Elgin Market and Huron Heights Public Schools in Kincardine to present letters of recognition to Elgin Market student Justin Shields, and Huron Heights students Charlie Hall Elwood and Tony Chen.  See photos and a sample letter below.
