Subject:“Lost in the Woods” at GBCS
Elementary students at Georgian Bay Community School in Meaford have had a busy past few months working on the play, "Lost in the Woods". Teachers Emily Major and Marty Elkins led a group of over 100 students who pulled off a magnificent show on Wednesday, April 26.  The student performances were held in front of all of their secondary peers as well as Grade 3 students from St. Vincent-Euphrasia Elementary School, and during the evening for over 200 members of the public.

“Lost in the Woods” is an adventurous tale based around the characters Alice and Finn, who encounter fairies, witches, mermaids, robots, pirates, and even an internet troll after losing their way in the woods.  Students enjoyed being engaged in various aspects of the production, which served as a multifaceted lesson in hard work, commitment, and collaboration to achieve true excellence.
