Subject:Renewed Math Strategy Inquiry Continues
To:

On Friday, September 22, 2017, all Grade 7 to 9 mathematics teachers and administrators from 17 schools in Bluewater District School Board participated in a full-day session at the Bluewater Education Centre in Chesley.  The Renewed Mathematics Strategy (RMS) Cross-Panel Inquiry is in its second year of the three-year strategy.  In the morning, members of the Student Success Team outlined the structure for the inquiry, shared provincial and board data, and led participants through a three-part lesson that focused on concrete representations.  During the afternoon, the participants moderated diagnostic assessments to identify areas of need.  School teams will meet in their Family of Schools as the next step in the inquiry process.
