Subject:EMPS 10th Anniversary of French Immersion
To:
Elgin Market Public School is celebrating 10 fantastic years of French Immersion in Kincardine!  On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, students, families, staff, Bluewater District School Board representatives, and other members of the community joined together for a special evening of commemorative activities, which included delicious French food, an open mic session in "the pit" where students had a chance to read their works from class or their favourite French books, a visit from Quebec Winter Carnival mascot Bonhomme, and much more.

As a single track French Immersion school, Elgin Market has grown as a popular option for parents and families seeking French programming for students between junior kindergarten and Grade 8.  As the school hits the decade milestone for French Immersion, there is a lot to celebrate.  At this early stage of the school year, enrolment is showing an increase and kindergarten students are already going home singing French songs!

Happy anniversary to all members of the Elgin Market school community, who continue to foster a welcoming and caring learning culture of excellence.

Félicitations!
