  • Interactive classroom instruction - 20 hours
  • Behind the wheel instruction - minimum of 10 hours

Registration sessions will be held in school prior to course start dates.  Students should listen to announcements for dates and times.  Please ensure both Student and Parent/Guardian signatures have been completed on both forms.

What happens on a Snow Day? ~ If buses are cancelled so will the in-class portion of Beginner Driver Education for that day.  Students are to show up to the next scheduled class at which point their instructor will notify them when the make-up class will take place.

Community School Membership Fees (CSMF)

Recreation groups and community organizations under a volunteer leader may use facilities regularly.

Indoor Walking

Looking for a safe place to walk indoors?  Please sign in with the monitor when you arrive at the school.  Bring indoor shoes.

Fitness Endorphins with Barb

Let's get strength and cardio in one session! Targeted to ALL levels of fitness with modifications shown. It is a "bootcamp" style which means NOT dancy or to the beat of the music. The first 6 week session will be TABATA! Amazing class to get you started in the new year towards your goals! 
$50 for 6 weeks pd the first night and RSVP encouraged just comment below "I'm in." $12 drop in rate if you can't commit to the 6 sessions.

Peninsula Shores Camera Club

Club of photography enthusiasts in the South Bruce Peninsula area - for people of all experience levels.  We have regular meetings, field trips, workshops, and guest speakers.

The Phoenix Fitness Room

The Phoenix Fitness Room is available at no charge to the public as a fitness/weight room.  Equipment includes a treadmill, two elliptical machines, an exercise bike, a bow flex machine, free weights, stability balls and medicine balls.

Ryusei Karate-Do is a traditional style of karate that combines the punches, kicks, strikes and blocks typical of karate as well as throws, joint locks and pressure point tactics. ~Focus on self-defense and realizing individual potential in martial arts.

Instructors: Peter Zehr, 5th degree black belt, Shihan (Master Instructor) and Matt Mannerow, 5th degree black belt, Shihan (Master Instructor).  Both have travelled to Japan to train directly udner Sakamoto Sensei, head of Ryusei Karate-Do International.

What to Wear: Comfortable clothes (i.e. track pants, t-shirt), bare feet (no socks or shoes).  Speak to the instructor if you are interested in purchasing a gi (karate uniform).

McLaren Pipes and Drums

The McLaren Pipes and Drums offers lessons in bag pipes, snare drum, bass and tenor drumming for ages 10 and up.  Starting cost is $100 for the purchase of a chanter kit or drum sticks and pad.  Lessons are Thursday nights at no cost.

Wiarton Concert Choir

Our Community Choir practices in the music room at PSDS every Tuesday during fall term to the first week of December and during the spring term to the last Tuesday in April.  We are an amateur choir that comprises
members of all ages including students from Grade 9-12.  This is teh Chioirs 50th anniversary year!
