The Policy Committee received and discussed the following reports and policies.

·      Human Rights
·      Medical and/or Physical Assistance – Provision of Within the School
·      Expenditure Guidelines: 
-       Corporate Credit Cards
-       Expenses (Travel, Meals, Mileage) – Reimbursement
-       Advertising Expenditures Policy
-       Advocacy Expenditures
·      Recruitment Posters

The Policy Committee recommended that policies BP 7520-D “Human Rights” and Policy BP 6802-D “Medical and/or Physical Assistance – Provision of Within the School” be referred to the Board, recommending that they be approved as amended.  The Committee reviewed new Expenditure Guidelines policies: BP 3512-D “Corporate Cards, Purchasing Cards and Petty Cash”, BP 4903-D “Expenses (Travel, Meals, Mileage) – Reimbursement”, BP 4106-D “Advertising Expenditures Policy” and BP 4107-D “Advocacy Expenditures” recommending that they be posted to the Board’s website as draft policies on an interim basis until they receive Board approval.

The item pertaining to Recruitment Posters was brought back to the Committee and it was agreed that appropriate military career posters would continue to be displayed along with other career posers to provide support for students considering all Pathways.


RECOMMENDATIONS:

•     THAT Bluewater District School Board receive the Policy Committee report.
•     THAT Bluewater District School Board approve Policy BP 7520-D “Human Rights” as amended.
•     THAT Bluewater District School Board approve Policy BP 6802-D “Medical and/or Physical Assistance – provision of within the School” as amended”.
•     THAT Bluewater District School Board approve Policy BP 3512-D “Corporate Cards, Purchasing Cards and Petty Cash.”
•     THAT Bluewater District School Board approve Policy BP 4903-D “Expenses (Travel, Meals, Mileage) – Reimbursement”.
•     THAT Bluewater District School Board approve Policy BP 4106-D “Advertising Expenditures Policy”.
•     THAT Bluewater District School Board approve Policy BP 4107-D “Advocacy Expenditures”.
