The following items were presented:
Updates:
•     SEAC was informed that we will have a second service dog in our district.•     The Section 23 classroom in Walkerton is moving to the former James A. Magee School in Hanover.
•     The Ministry of Education recognizes the positive partnership that Bluewater has formed with Keystone and therefore invited us to attend a Provincial meeting about adolescent anxiety and how to better meet the needs of these students.
•     A CODE Audit was held on March 3rd.  We received positive feedback on our Positive Behaviour Support Approach project.
•     The School Support Program – Autism Spectrum Disorder partnership with Thames Valley Children’s Centre is making great gains and an upcoming conference call will focus on the past year and how to develop the partnership further.•     Autism Ontario Grey Bruce Chapter is hosting an Educational Day for all on May 9th from 9:30 – 2:45 at the Stone Tree in Owen Sound.  The cost for the day is $50.00 and registration occurs at 9:00.  
•     On April 30th Todd Cunningham, a motivational speaker, on being learning disabled, will be speaking at Kincardine District at 7:00 p.m.  There is no cost to attend.

Agenda Items:
•     Jean Stephenson, Student Success Leader, spoke to SEAC about the Student Success Initiative.  SEAC was given a history of the initiative and how it has evolved over the last 5 years.
•     Donna Torrie, Speech-Language Pathologist, spoke to SEAC about the software used on Specialized Equipment and the process for at-home use of the equipment.
•     Carolynn Dyer gave SEAC a history of the Ontario Disability Act (ODA) Plan.  Trudy Baran will represent SEAC on the ODA Plan committee. The ODA committee will be looking at the standards and creating a “to do” list for the following year.
