The following items were presented:
•     Staff Training:  At the end of April, there was principal and vice-principal training of the Ministry of Education Policy/Program Memorandum 140 (PPM 140) and its implementation.  This PPM deals with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Autism Spectrum Disorder.  On the April Professional Activity Day, training occurred for educational assistants on ABA principles.  The fourth and final Positive Behaviour Support training has occurred.  There will be half-day training for new teachers regarding special education.
•     Bluewater will be sending a team to a meeting on June 6th to help develop a kindergarten to grade 12 resource guide related to Education for All.  A SEAC representative is invited to attend.  
•     A National Teleconference with representatives from preschool resource, daycares and school boards was held.  In Bluewater, “Let’s Learn” and “Let’s Grow” Committees help with preschool support.
•     The Specialized Equipment Amount grant application was submitted for 1.1 million dollars.  
•     SEAC is invited to attend the LRT/Administrators’ symposium in September.  Dr. Ian Manion will be the keynote speaking on children’s mental health.

Agenda Items:
•     Brenda McLister, psychologist, gave an overview of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA) project which started 2 years ago.
