The following items were presented:
•     Student Services had a team attend a feedback session regarding the “Education for All” document.
•     A team of 15 have been invited to attend a Summer Institute Session on Autism.
•     The Learning Resource Teacher and Administrator Symposium will be held on September 11, 2008 at the CAW Centre in Port Elgin. The day will focus on children’s mental health.  Ian Manion, from the Centre for Excellence (Children’s Hospital for Eastern Ontario), will be the guest speaker in the morning. There will be breakout sessions in the afternoon.  Two members from SEAC are invited to attend.
•     We are in the process of drafting a protocol relating to service dogs.  It will be brought to SEAC for review.
•     In September, all schools will be involved with the “No Child Without” program.
•     SEAC recommends the Bluewater District School Board appoint a second trustee to SEAC.

Agenda Items:
•     Brenda Booth, Superintendent of Business, gave an overview of the grants, expenditures and enveloping for the Special Education budget.
