Energy Efficiency School Funding
Members received a report on the grant announcement from the Ministry to improve energy efficiency in schools commencing in 2009-2010.  Bluewater DSB will receive approximately $4.4M over a two year period.  A follow-up report will be presented once further details are known.  Members were given the opportunity to ask questions.
2008-09 Financial Report No. 2
Members received Financial Report No. 2 for the 2008-09 school year which showed projected expenditures and revenues to August 31, 2009.  A surplus of $822,702 is anticipated.  Members were given the opportunity to ask questions.
2009-2010 Budget Draft No. 1
Members reviewed the first draft of the 2009-2010 budget which showed anticipated revenues and expenditures for the 2009-2010 school year and the resultant variance.  At present, there is a gap of $4,085,862 which must be eliminated in order to approve a balanced budget for 2009-2010.  Members were given the opportunity to ask questions.
