November 13, 2009 -- Some communities have set up flu assessment centres to give the public easier access to flu services and to reduce pressure on hospital emergency rooms and doctors’ offices. August 31, 2009  -- Staff from the Program, Plant/Maintenance, Health and Safety, and Human Resources departments are working in partnership with Grey Bruce Public Health to prepare our schools to minimize the exposure to and spread of H1N1 flu and other influenza-like illness this fall and throughout the flu season.  Updates and additional information will be posted here on a regular basis to assist students and staff in their return to school.

How to Stay Healthy in Flu Season has been distributed to school principals to share with students and staff.

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in partnership with the Ministry of Education has developed Guidelines for the Prevention and Management of Pandemic (H1N1) 2009 in Elementary and Secondary Schools.  These guidelines form the basis for the preparation in Bluewater schools and worksites.
