Elementary School Schedules for 2010-2011
Next September public elementary schools across Ontario will begin following a five-day instructional day cycle. The Tuesday after Labour Day will be Day 1, with the subsequent days following through the five-day rotation, exclusive of holidays and PD days.
At the same time, an alternating full-day JK/SK cycle will be introduced. Children will follow an A and B day cycle that alternates through the year, exclusive of holidays and PD days. We think that once the initial adjustment period has passed, parents will find this schedule easier to follow.
We realize these changes may present some challenges for parents and daycare providers, but they will allow for consistency of programming throughout the school year. If you have questions or require further information please contact us.
