Community Use of Schools
We are pleased to be hosting a series of Information Nights throughout the district as noted below:
Community Education/Community Use of Schools Information Nights
Anyone interested in using Bluewater Schools after school hours is welcome to attend an Information Night introducing programs and services being offered commencing September 2010. Come and learn about new partnership and program opportunities and obtain information about our new staff and on-line permitting system!
The Information Night Sessions will begin at 7 p.m. in each location.

RENTALS
- Bluewater schools are available for use by the public from 6pm to 10pm Monday to Thursdays.
- Schools are sometimes available on weekends and holidays subject to maintenance and operational schedules. Request for summer bookings must be received prior to May 31st of each year.
- Fees for using schools vary depending on the type of organization (ie not-for-profit vs profit).
- Community Use fees are partially subsidized by the Ontario Ministry of Education's Community Use of Schools funding.
- Fees for custodial and monitoring services are charged on a cost recovery basis.
- All organizations using a school, must have a permit to do so.
- Organizations must provide proof of $2 M in liaibility (insurance can be purchased through the Permit Supervisor if needed)
Renting a school facility is a simple 4-step process:
STEP 1:
Choose a facility and location that will suit your needs. Let us know if you require a classroom, a gymnasium, an auditorium, a library or a meeting room!
STEP 2:
Request a school facility using the fast and easy on-line permitting system. To access the on-line system, please click here.
STEP 3:
Approval - Once a request is approved, you will be issued a permit with the details of your event, including facility costs (if applicable) and an estimate of custodial/operational costs.
STEP 4:
Payment - At the conclusion of your event, you will receive an invoice with the actual costs incurred. Please pay promptly.
