Summer School Student Surveys

Bluewater District School Board is in the process of planning for Summer School 2018.  Historically, students wishing to participate in summer school have been bussed to Owen Sound, and courses have been delivered using a blend of a classroom model and online modules.  Many districts around the province have moved to offering summer school exclusively using online modules.  While online learning offers students increased flexibility (e.g., students could access the course material and instructor from home), it places great responsibility on the students in terms of time management and independent learning.  We would like to learn from students about the potential impact if we move summer school to online modules.

2018 Summer School is currently in the planning stage.  Details will be posted soon.

Bluewater District School Board offers summer school courses at no cost - subject to busing requirements.
Non-Bluewater students are also welcome.
The central campus for Summer School in 2018 will be in Owen Sound.

General Information
Non credit elementary courses are offered to current Grade 6, 7 and 8 students.

"Reach Ahead" secondary new credit courses are offered to strong level 3 or 4 students entering Grade 9.
Upgrade, transfer and new credit secondary courses are offered to both current secondary students and adults.
