Internal Secondary Long Term Occasional positions are available to teachers who are on Bluewater’s Secondary Occasional Teacher List. Please apply by fax to the principal of the school.
External Secondary Long Term Occasional positions are available to external candidates. Effective June 1, 2005, all qualified teachers who wish to apply for an external long term occasional teaching position for the 2007-2008 school year must apply through Apply to Education. We will no longer be accepting paper applications.

GREY HIGHLANDS SECONDARY SCHOOL Principal – Andrea Tang
One part-time (0.33 FTE) teacher required in Semester 2 for 1 section of Grade 12 Physical Education as part of the Environmental Studies Integrated Four-credit Program in Period C. An interest in and experience in wilderness settings strongly recommended. The position will include approximately three weeks of leading students in wilderness settings on canoe and hiking trips.
Beginning as soon as possible and ending June 29, 2012 or earlier if the incumbent returns.
One part-time (0.33 FTE) teacher required in Semester 2 for 1 section of Grade 11 and 12 combined Native Studies in period D.
Beginning as soon as possible and ending May 18th, 2012 or earlier if the incumbent returns.

SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHING POSITION
Summer School relies on dynamic teachers who are committed to creating an engaging environment that helps students to develop and apply their skills in an exciting way.
Daily hours: Grades 7 to 12 classes are 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Salary: $39.39 (per the current O.S.S.T.F. Collective Agreement).
Elementary Program
For elementary students, the Board will offer the following courses:
“Power-up” Literacy at both Grade 7 and Grade 8 levels;
Math “Booster” Camp at both Grade 7 and Grade 8 levels;
Bridge to Success for Grade 7 and 8 students.

Secondary Program
For secondary students, the following types of courses will be offered:
Transfer - for students who wish to switch from Grade 9 applied Math to Grade 10 academic math;
Upgrading - for students who have completed a course with a mark of 40% or higher and wish to improve their standing;
New Credit - for students who have not previously studied the subject or who have previously completed the course with a mark below 40%; may be offered through online or through face to face formats
Co-op - Two credit co-ops for students who have prearranged a placement, with work hours to occur during the new credit session dates. ~In class hours to be announced.
Classes will be offered at Owen Sound Collegiate & Vocational Institute in Owen Sound. Courses will run only if qualified teachers are available and an average minimum class size can be established.
Summer School 2012 will be organized in the following manner:
