COORDINATOR
FOR THE SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM 2012
Bluewater District School Board will be offering summer school programs for secondary students and Grade 7 and 8 students (remedial Language and Mathematics) at one site, dependent upon enrolment and provincial funding.
The Community Education Department requires a qualified educator to facilitate the organization and operation of the summer school program. The proposed location is Owen Sound Collegiate and Vocational Institute (OSCVI), Owen Sound. During Phase II, the Coordinator will work from the OSCVI location.
Duties:
- Phase I – Program planning including course selection, hiring of assistant coordinator and instructors, program marketing, registration procedures, etc.
- Phase II – Tentatively - operation of summer school will begin July 3, and continue to August 10, 2012 with various sessions offered within the time period. The Coordinator will provide on-site administration at the OSCVI location on a full-time basis (6 hours per day). The Coordinator will be assisted by an Assistant Coordinator with on-site Office Professional support.
Remuneration: Responsibility Allowance: $11,000 (includes vacation pay)
Qualifications: Principal’s qualifications as defined in Regulation 298 of the Education Act.
