Student Success Contact Teachers

The Student Success Contact Teacher (SSCT) is a part of the leadership team in the secondary school. They will focus on identifying and working with "at risk" youth, to support programming at the school level, the development of better services for students, and transitions to and from high school. They have a sound knowledge of all the special programming and the possibilities of how students can be served. The SSCT connects with students on a regular basis and liases with the school administration and outside agencies. They also collect data and monitor various initiatives within the school. The SSCT's meet regularly and are an integral part of the Student Success Advisory Committee. Since each school has a unique atmosphere, the SSCT's form a collaborative professional learning community and build on each other's ideas and successes.
