As part of Bluewater District School Board’s strong focus on succession planning to ensure a sustainable path forward that maintains a high standard of excellence in our local public education system, a group of enthusiastic and engaged staff attended a series of Emerging Leadership sessions over the spring. The four modules included an emphasis on personal leadership characteristics, leadership in the management role, and leading instruction in a school community. The 30 educators from across schools and divisions had a chance to explore and reflect upon their own skills, in relation to what it means to be an administrator in Bluewater and the province of Ontario.
We are extremely confident that our future administrators will be well positioned to support student achievement and well-being across our district. Congratulations to this year’s Emerging Leadership graduates!
