Battle of the Books at JDSS

The 2020 Battle of the Books is underway at the John Diefenbaker Senior School library! This annual event has students reading new books by Canadian authors to determine JDSS' favourite title. The books are selected by the Ontario Library Association as part of their "Forest of Reading" promotion, and students participate in a 5-star rating process to determine the school's choice of winning book. Additionally, each student who reads one of the books in the battle is entered into a random draw for a great prize of school clothing. To find out more about the books in the contest, visit the OLA's Red Maple and White Pine sites. JDSS students are invited to drop into the library to sign out one of the books and enter the draw!
Bluewater District School Board is located on the traditional land of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, which is represented by the communities of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.
