Area students from Hillcrest and Lucknow Central Public Schools joined their peers at Ripley-Huron Community School to participate in some authentic learning experiences on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the RHCS Living Library. The 27 “Living Books” shared personal stories connecting to topics on careers, lifestyles, and hobbies. There were books about being a photographer, musician, pilot, working in nuclear power, being transgender, rodeo life, banking, and even a zookeeper and his kangaroo, to name a few! Thanks are extended to RHCS educational assistant Jean Johnston and her daughter Cierra, who were the organizers of the event, and to all of the volunteers who attended.
Bluewater District School Board is located on the traditional land of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, which is represented by the communities of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.
