We are shocked and saddened by Tuesday’s tragedy in British Columbia at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School and within the community.
Bluewater District School Board shares deepest condolences with the victims’ families, students, staff, and all those impacted by this devastating loss. We mourn for the lives that have been lost and extend our thoughts to those injured.
As a school board that serves many small interconnected rural communities, we understand how a tragedy of this nature can extend beyond the walls of a single school. It especially hits close to home when something like this happens in a small town on Canadian soil.
