In Bluewater District School Board, we celebrate and recognize our many staff and partners who work with and support young children in our schools and work sites.  Whether it is in the classroom, a child care centre, or other learning environments, we thank those who continue to dedicate their lives to educating, nurturing, and caring for our children, and serving local families and communities.  Our appreciation is also extended to our educational assistants, teaching staff, and administrators for their ongoing work with our youngest learners.

This year’s occasion is especially significant as Canada works toward an enhanced system of not-for-profit, accessible, affordable, and high-quality child care.

Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day has been proclaimed by the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care, the Canadian Union of Public Employees, municipalities, and school boards across Ontario.  Hundreds of child care centres, unions, and allies mark the occasion each year.

On this special day, please take a moment to thank one or some of these amazing individuals for everything they do to support and shape our youngest students, and future students.

Bluewater District School Board is located on the traditional land of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, which is represented by the communities of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.
