Bluewater District School Board thanks and recognizes the many tremendous staff in our schools and facilities who support the growth of young children and students. We are also incredibly fortunate to enjoy strong partnerships with several local child care professionals, who play a vital role in preparing our future learners for success.

Please join us on October 24 by thanking a child care worker, early childhood educator, educational assistant, or anyone working in a role that supports young learners, whether in a classroom or school-based child care. The skills and expertise they bring to their essential work each day help set the stage for rewarding and diverse pathways for lifelong learning, and create safe, inclusive, equitable, and nurturing environments for those in their care.

Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day is recognized by the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care, the Canadian Union of Public Employees, municipalities, and school boards across Ontario, with hundreds of child care centres, unions, and allies celebrating annually.
