Owen Sound District Secondary School (OSDSS) construction students have reason to celebrate following GOLD and SILVER wins at the 2022 Skills Ontario Competition!

Two teams competed in the ‘Home and Team Building – Team of Four’ category in this year’s virtual provincial event, which involved the construction of a small shed at their school on Friday, April 22, 2022.  Photos of their build projects were then sent to Skills Ontario to be judged among other submissions from across the province.

Winning GOLD at the provincial level was the OSDSS boys’ team of Landon Heathers, Brody Graham, Cole Brown, and Austin Ellis.

Winning SILVER provincially was the OSDSS girls’ team of Juliet Williams, Keira Wrigley, Isla Adams, and Sequoia Timmerman.

Bluewater District School Board joins OSDSS and all members of our local school communities in extending deepest congratulations to these teams on their amazing accomplishments.  We also congratulate and thank their construction technology teacher, Owen Ferguson, whose guidance and support have been instrumental in the continued success of our students in their exploration of career pathways in the skilled trades.
