Macphail Memorial Elementary School is recognizing the Jordan Fawcett Memorial Fund for its partnership in helping to purchase a new high jump mat and cover that will be used by students for many years to come.
Jordan was an enthusiastic athlete and caring individual who fell victim to sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) at the young age of 15. A memorial fund was set up with Community Foundation Grey Bruce to recognize those who share the same passion and emulate the same values as Jordan, and work hard to make a difference for others.
Thanks are extended to Dave and Deb Fawcett for making the new purchase possible through such a generous donation. Macphail is also grateful for the support of a local sign company in producing the beautiful screening on the cover.
The new high jump mat is not just equipment, but a testament to Jordan’s lasting impact and her family’s kindness. It is heartwarming to see such a meaningful investment in the futures of our young athletes.
