To honour Remembrance Day and Veterans’ Week, students and staff across Bluewater District School Board are deepening their learning and paying tribute to veterans through assemblies, presentations, and projects.

The National Flag is lowered at all schools and work sites to honour Canada’s war heroes. Flags were also lowered for Indigenous Veterans’ Day (November 8) to honour the 12,000+ First Nations, Inuit, and Métis citizens who have served during conflicts, and the national commemorative ceremony for the late Honourable Murray Sinclair (November 10).

We remember and reflect on the sacrifices and legacies of these honoured individuals and all who have served.
