October 11, 2024

With another busy school year start-up behind us, we hope our students, staff, and families are settled into new routines and finding their rhythm for success in 2024-2025.

During this time of thankfulness, we would like to express our appreciation to everyone in our Bluewater District School Board communities for their partnership and support in contributing to smooth back-to-school transitions for our students.

Thank you to our families, who are our most vital partners in fostering student learning, growth, success, and well-being from junior kindergarten until graduation! In addition to supporting children's learning at home, many parents/guardians, family members, and volunteers serve on school councils and other committees, and help tremendously with school trips, events, fundraisers, and programs.

Thank you to our approximately 3,000 permanent and casual Bluewater employees, whose diverse skills, expertise, experience, and professionalism are ever present at all corners of our district. With 40 elementary and nine secondary schools, and a few other facilities under our watch, it takes an aligned and dedicated staff community in a multitude of roles to create a safe environment that supports student excellence.

Thank you to our community and education partners for the service and passion you bring for the betterment of Bluewater. These include our trustees, unions, and the numerous organizations and individuals in our local communities, whose partnership ensures the delivery of critically important learning opportunities and unique programs.

Last, but certainly not least, we extend thanks to the approximately 18,500 students in our care. Your current and future success is our primary focus, and we continue to be immensely proud of the hard work, growth, and responsible citizenship that we get to witness in our schools daily.

We wish you many special moments of gratitude and closeness among family and friends this weekend and beyond.

Thank you!!
