On National Principal’s Day, we celebrate and extend gratitude to the principals and vice-principals in our Bluewater District School Board schools whose leadership and contributions foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning culture that enables student growth and success.
Across Canada, May 1 is an opportunity to recognize the valuable work and multiple responsibilities of principals and vice-principals in meeting diverse student needs at various grade levels, while leading staff, and building relationships with parents/guardians and communities. The care and commitment they bring to their profession are instrumental to a strong public education system that supports academic excellence and successful outcomes for students on their pathway from kindergarten to graduation.
Today and this week, we encourage you to pause and thank a principal and/or vice-principal for everything they do through their complex daily work of managing the many priorities that accompany all aspects of school operations.
