Three separate graduation events for local students enrolled in the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) Level 1 Cook, Carpentry, and Millwright programs were held near the end of June in Owen Sound and Kincardine.

Congratulations are extended to all of the graduates on their accomplishments, along with best wishes for success as they pursue their careers.  The growing popularity of these programs and high caliber of students graduating are very promising indicators for the future of the skilled trades!

OYAP Dual Credit Level 1 Programs involve students completing a full semester of cooperative education in a skilled trade with a portion of their time spent finishing the Level 1 apprenticeship in-school training (trade school) at a partner college, while still in secondary school.
