Students at Hillcrest Central School in Teeswater recently had a chance to participate in virtual coding workshops.

Facilitated by Elephant Thoughts, Grades 1 through 8 engaged with an online presenter in hands-on learning activities, which supported the new mathematics curriculum and provided technology and expertise that students might not normally have access to.

The experience made for a creative alternative to taking students to a museum or science centre, which is currently not an option due to COVID-19 protocols.

The feedback regarding the workshops was positive with many students inquiring as to when Elephant Thoughts could return virtually to their classrooms again!
