Thursday, May 16, 2024 is World Education Support Personnel Day!
Bluewater District School Board’s support staff are the backbone of our schools and work sites. We thank them for the numerous roles and functions that they carry out daily to foster the success, safety, well-being, and growth of our students, and the support they provide to families.
In Bluewater, we are extremely fortunate to have such a dedicated and exceptional group of Education Support Personnel, who include educational assistants, early childhood educators, child and youth workers, sign language acquisition and outdoor education specialists.
We also recognize our wonderful and highly skilled Professional Student Services Personnel, who are comprised of behaviour expertise and behaviour intervention professionals, communication disorder assistants, mental health leaders and workers, speech language pathologists, student support attendance counsellors, and psychological services staff.
We share our acknowledgement with our Office Professionals and Technicians, who include all our school office and system support staff, who work hard each day on the frontlines and often behind the scenes as our unsung heroes.
Recognition extends to our custodians and maintenance workers, who keep all our schools and work sites clean, safe, well-equipped, and well-maintained for our students, staff, and families.
Please join us to thank, celebrate, and honour our amazing support staff in Bluewater for their varied and invaluable contributions, both within the classroom and beyond.
