Bluewater District School Board Presents 2025-2026 Awards of Excellence
Chesley, ON – An annual school year-end tradition marked the final Regular Meeting of the Board of 2025-2026 on Tuesday, June 16, as Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) trustees handed out the Awards of Excellence.
Nominated by individuals within their school communities, recipients are community members who have made outstanding contributions to support student success, exemplifying BWDSB’s mission and values in action.
This year’s award winners were recognized for a range of contributions, including initiatives that foster student well-being and engagement, nutrition program involvement, classroom help, school council participation, event and fundraiser coordination, and support for inclusive athletics. Family members, staff, and other supporters were on hand at the BWDSB Education Centre to observe as trustees took turns reading nominations and handing out certificates.
While formally recognizing all those who make meaningful contributions to our local education system is impossible, the Awards of Excellence program provides an important opportunity to acknowledge the exceptional efforts of individuals within each ‘family of schools’ in BWDSB. The nomination process highlights the strong culture of appreciation and collaboration across our schools, where recognition contributes to fostering engagement and reinforcing alignment with board priorities.
