Students face many different challenges throughout the school year — from unexpected weather disruptions to illness, family schedules, and the natural ups and downs of learning new concepts. We know that every learner progresses at their own pace, and sometimes a little extra support can make a big difference in confidence and success.

New! Available online
BWDSB is committed to helping students stay on track and confident with their learning. With the high number of inclement weather days this winter affecting transportation, we know some students have missed valuable in-person instruction. That’s why we’ve launched Learning Lift: BWDSB Virtual After-Hours Tutoring — a free, online tutoring program for students in Grades 4–8.
Students can get extra support with homework and key concepts in a safe, flexible online environment. Sessions are delivered by caring educators and are designed to boost understanding, build confidence, and help students recover lost learning time.
Monday to Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: Spaces are currently filled with new spots opening up on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. on a first come, first served basis.
