Description: Educators (Kindergarten through Grade 12) will explore using STEM as an instructional approach to encourage inquiry, critical thinking, and collaboration, while promoting hands-on learning and integration of cross-disciplinary knowledge. STEM emphasizes the triangulation of data in assessment, empowering students to solve complex problems through application of scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematical principles.

Educators will learn that transferable skills are abilities students can apply across various subjects, careers, and life situations. Extending beyond subject-specific knowledge, these skills include attributes of communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. Recent curricula revisions highlight these skills, recognizing their importance in preparing students for a dynamic, interconnected world.

Topic 2: Curriculum Implementation and Supporting De-streaming: Practical Universal Design for Learning Strategies

Topic 3: Technology Use Competencies and Student Safety- Strategies for Integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the Classroom

Topic 4: Introduction to the Digital Competencies Framework

Description: Educators (K-12) will be introduced to the Digital Competencies Framework, which outlines essential digital skills and knowledge for students by grade level. This hands-on approach will help teachers integrate digital competencies into their teaching practice.
