Graphic with math symbolsDe-streaming of Grade 9 mathematics began across Ontario in September 2021.  In Bluewater District School Board, this means that students entering secondary no longer have the option of enrolling in either Academic or Applied mathematics courses.  For more information and answers to some of the common questions regarding this change, please click on the link below to view our flyer. 

De-streaming Grade 9 Mathematics - What's it all about?

The new Grade 9 mathematics course and some teacher and parent/guardian resources are available now on the Ontario Curriculum and Resources website.  This new course has been implemented in classrooms across the province effective September 2021.
