New Build - KDSS

Bluewater District School Board was approved for funding by the Ministry of Education to support a new Kincardine District Senior School, under the 2019 – 2020 Capital Priorities Grant program. The ministry has committed $26,450,989 in funding to build a school to replace the current Kincardine District Senior School.

The Capital Priorities Funding will support a new school with the on-the-ground capacity of 881 students. This funding will address existing school condition and the expected future accommodation pressures for Grades 7-12 in the Kincardine area.

Staff would like to thank residents from the Kincardine, Ripley and Lucknow areas that completed the Site Selection Preference Survey in December 2020.  The results of the survey were presented at the Business Committee of the Whole Meeting on January 5, 2021.
