Director’s Holiday Message

The holiday season is once again upon us. Along with the usual flurry of activity that December brings, our school communities have been increasingly busy as our region continues to manage the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. I want to acknowledge and thank everyone for their work and vigilance to ensure the safety of students and staff during these ever-evolving times. It is my hope that the holiday break will create ample opportunities for a much-deserved reprieve for all involved.
On behalf of Bluewater District School Board’s senior team, I extend best wishes for the season to all our students, staff, families, trustees, partners, and communities. I hope the next few weeks will allow you to safely share some special moments with loved ones, where possible.
As we exit 2021, I am humbled to think about the dedicated efforts that have supported a positive learning and working experience for our students and staff during the pandemic. The strong partnerships between home and school, and within our buildings, have facilitated many celebratory examples of success and progress in our board. A summary of these achievements is highlighted in my annual report, which I recently presented to our trustees. When I consider the collaborative spirit, leadership, and resilience shown by those who have contributed to this important work, I am filled with optimism for 2022.
