Bluewater District School Board students are stepping up to support the wellness of their youth peers! The Mental Health Champions at East Ridge Community School recently presented a cheque for $1,000 to Jackie Ralph, the youth awareness and education supervisor at Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce. The funds were raised through snack sales at a movie event held by the students in December to promote mental health over the holidays.
Jackie was thrilled with the donation, which will go to support mental health initiatives for local youth.
The students worked hard in the days leading up to and during the movie event, to ensure all ran smoothly and successfully. They are proud of their efforts and of the sum they were able to raise for a good cause, and we are too!
