World Water Day at Spruce Ridge

Timberwolves celebrate water! “Water means different things to different people. On World Water Day, we celebrate all the different ways water benefits our lives and talk about how we can safeguard it for everyone.” - www.worldwaterday.org
World Water Day, which occurred on Monday March 22, 2021, provided the Spruce Ridge Community School Timberwolves with a chance to learn about and share how they value and appreciate water. Every Timberwolf received a refillable water bottle, thanks to the generous support of the school community. These water bottles will enable the students to be environmentally friendly, healthy, and appreciative of the fact that we all have access to safe and healthy water, whenever we need it. World Water Day also served to heighten awareness around the importance of water in keeping our bodies, plants, and animals hydrated, and ensuring the health and safety of our entire community. Mrs. Harloff’s Grade 1/2 and Mrs. Klages’ Grade 2/3 classes seized the opportunity to proudly share all the reasons why water is important to them!
